Abstract
The paper presents the results of investigations of instability of liquicl jets emanating from contoured nozzles into ambient air. The major attention has been paicl to the measurements of the jet structure and the distance beyoncl which the jet lost its continuity ancl was broken into liquid droplets. Investigations have been conductecl at various pressures of water in the nozzle and its three diameters. The results have been comparecl against available data from literature.
