The mechanism of generation of chaotic fluctuations of heating surface temperature in nucleate boiling
R. MOSDORF

Abstract

Chaotic fluctuations of the heating surface temperature occur when nucleate boiling with high heat flux takes place. One possible mechanism for these fluctuations has been analysed in this paper. The heat transfer in the heating surface at a single nucleation site has been consiclered. The generation of bubbles has been simulated by changes of the boundary condition on the heating surface. In this paper the mechanisms of generation of chaotic fluctuations of surface temperature when the conductivity equation is solved using a Control-Volume Finite Element Method has been explained. The model presented in the paper has a qualitative character.
