Steam turbines for supercritical power plants - design and operation problems

Abstract

This paper regards design issues of large power output steam turbines for supercritical power plants. A special focus is set on features of turbine cycle, their parameters as wel as on aerodynamical, material and strength problem. The second part of the paper presents an operation diagnostic system, which regards monitoring of stresses.
