Abstract

The aim of the paper is to present the results of experimentalresearch conducted on helical coilbiomass boiler with oil as a heating fluid, which is a central unit of co generative micro power-plant designed and tested at the Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery in Gdańsk. Experimentaldata has been used to work out characteristics of the device in terms of power, efficiency and oilparameters for moderate/high excess air numbers and fuel flow rates. Furthermore, during theresearch the authors came across various obstacles, which can be easily eliminated in the futureprototypes by applying presented changes in construction.
