Measurements of Charged Particles Density and Electron Temperature in an Inductive, Hydrodynamic Shock Tube with the Use of Plasma Eater
LUDWIG ROTHHARDT

Abstract

The plasma eater may be regarded as a double probe Johnson-Malter system. The system usually employed in the measurements of the density of charge carriers has been used simultaneously for measuring the electron temperature. The results of these measurements - carried out in an inductive hydrodynamic shock tube filled with different gases - have been presented in this paper. Also the restricted application of the plasma eater to the electron temperature measurements has been discussed there.
