Breakdown of a Shear Driven Liquid Film
Abstract
The paper presents an analysis of breakdown of a shear-driven liquid film into stable rivulets. The criteria for such breakdown include equality of mechanical energy of the film and the resulting rivulets as well as a minimum of energy of the latter.
