Abstract
Some Thermal Problems and Problems of Efficiency Bound up with the Capacity Control in Rotały Machines through a Fluid Coupling with Controlled Slip
The principle of co-operation between a fluid coupling with controlled slip and a rotary fluid-flow machine being the power receiver was explained. It was proved that the quantity of heat emitted in the coupling depends on the characteristic of the power receiver torque M=f (n2), where: M - torque and n2 - rotational speed of the driven machine. For three cases: M∼n23, M∼ - n22 and M∼ n2 the relations (7), (10) and (13) were obtained; they concern the dependence of the power Nc converted into heat in the coupling on the nominal slip so and instantaneous slip s in the coupling (Fig. 6).
