Abstract

Influence of the Widths of Impeller and Casing on Operating Parameters of Free Flow Pumps Based on the results of investigations made by Grabov [4, 5], the principle of operation of free-flow pumps was discussed. The investigation results were as follows: 

• the widths of the impeller blade and casing exert a decisive influence on the operating parameters of free-flow pump, particularly on its delivery head;
• the influence of the ,,inlet" diameter of the casing on the operating parameters of the pump proved to be negligible within the range investigated.
