Lifetime of Impeller Pumps on Fishing Vessels

The method and conditions of collecting statistical informations on the reliability of impeller pumps installed on fishing vessels are described. The discrepancy between the fust survey period as indicated by the manufacturer and the results of calculations based on statistical data is shown. Approximate data on the lifetime of more important parts of some impeller pumps of Polish make installed on fishing vessels are given. At the end a proposal is put forward that the reliability period of impeller pumps be determined by their manufacturers.
