Transonic Flow in a Turbine Cascade with High Deflection

Abstract

This paper contains a description of transonic flow in the palisade turbine, made on the basis of the film.

The film shows a visualization of the flow field in two-dimensional palisade strong deflection profiles turbine, using the method of Schlieren in color. Nominal conditions of work such palisades are characterized by high values of subsonic Mach number at the inlet and by ultrasonic moderate values of the Mach number at the outlet.
