Abstract
In the years 1976 - 1980 the works of the Department of Machinery Dynamics concerned:
The first research direction covered the problems of non-linear theory of thin and thick elastic slells, especially in the field of finite rotations, Langrangean description, variational principles and numerical methods. The second direction covered improving the models and methods describing viirations of blading systems and high capacity rotors of steam turbines as well as ship driving shafts. Modeling of non-conserving dry friction forces at contact surfaces of solids was developed in the third direction.
