Abstract
An attempt has been made to find, based on the equation of motion of rotating parts in hydraulic generating units, an analytic formula describing the maximum and minimum rotational speeds of such units on load rejection or connection. The set of iso-efliciący curves of turbines rqas used to study the nature of changes of the relative torque and speed ofa turbine following guide apparatus opening changes. An analytic expression describing the torqBe of turbines in static and dynamic conditions was presented. The expression may be used to determine the rotational speed of hydraulic generating units.
