Abstract

Selected results of investigations of a medium-speed impeller pump adjustment (kinematic specific speed 50), using prerotational control, are presented. The influence of the used prerotation guide ring on the velocity distribution in the inlet pipe of the pump is examined. Pump characteristics obtained for this type of adjustment are presented and compared with adjustment characteristics obtained while changing rotational speed of the pump impeller, for dilferent characteristic curves of the pump system.
