Stefan-Convection Effects on Evaporation anrl Condensation of Droplets in Surrounding Vapour
Abstract
The influence of phase-change induced convection ('Stefan flux") on droplet-to-vapour mass and heat transfer has been examined. Methods of determining transfer fluxes at various transfer conditions have been developed and new, more general expressions for correction factors have been derived. Calculations of evaporation and condensation processes have been carried out and compared with results of previous methods.
