Abstract
Electrodynamic spraying of liquids is caused by the electric force applied to the surface of liquid. The results of phenomenological studies of the process of disruption of the liquid surface and the modes of spraying are reported. Distilled water was used as the test medium. The water was forced through a metal capillary connected to a high dc voltage. The microscopic observations of the jet in the puslating light reveal a number of phenomena which have previously not been reported.
