Department of Photophysics offers a portable X-ray spectrometer (XRF), completed and implemented in the Institute. The instrument is designed for non-invasive and non-contact analysis of the chemical composition of materials. It allows immediate determination of elemental composition, e.g. metal alloys, glass, ceramics, pigments, minerals, etc.
Application: diagnosis of construction materials, food and water, industrial analysis, the study of minerals and historical materials, forensics.
