Isyna Izzal Muna (Isyna) was born in 1995 in Indonesia and received her undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Semarang State University. In October 2020, she obtained a double M.Sc degree from the University of L’Aquila (Italy) and Gdansk University of Technology (Poland) with a scholarship through the Intermaths program. In Italy, her major field was Mathematical Engineering with a specialization of Scientific Computing while in Poland she majored in Nanotechnology with a specialization in Mathematics for New Materials Design. Her master’s thesis work was about molecular dynamics simulations of the thermal conductivity of penta-graphene. She has always been interested in studying and eager to do research. In November 2020, Isyna started her early research career at the Szewalski Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery, Polish Academy of Sciences (IMP PAN) Gdansk as a Doctoral student. Her doctoral studies are funded by the National Science Centre of Poland through the Preludium BIS 1 program where she carries out a research project about thermal degradation of additively manufactured carbon-polymer composites. In her spare time, Isyna likes to read philosophical and self-development books, listen to classical music, and take pictures of nature.
