Calculation of the Blade Profile for a Hydraulic Machine [in German]
PETR FLEISCHNER

Abstract

The flow in a hydraulic machine is solved mathematically under an assumption of existence of stream surfaces. The movement of the liquid in a stream surface is not influenced by the other stream surfaces. The perfect liquid with no rotation in the absolute system of coordinates is assumed.

The mathematical method has been developed that enables to calculate the shape of a blade section. The method can be used for both stationary and rotating cascades of radial, diagonal and axial type. The inflow and outflow angle, that is the change of energy when a runner is considered, as well as tbe thickness and velocity distribution on the pressure or suction side are preset. The shape of stream surfaces is assumed to be known.

The theory mentioned above has been proved for various cases,
