Abstract

Results of investigation of the balance disc operatio in four-stage medium-pressure pump are reported. The investigations, covering the entire pump performance curve range, were carried out for two values of the axial force (high, low) and two sets of balance disk (new, worn out). Experiinental relations between the pressure difference, flow and gap size are compared with results of calculations accordring to known formulate. Concluding remarks are presented.
