Abstract
Experiments and analysis have been shown that the so called synchronous opening and closing of vanes of the guide apparatus is essential condition that should be satisfied to ensure smooth operation of hydroelectric generating sets. All vanes should turn by the same angle from the closed position.
In order to meet this requirement values of elastic strains in respective components transmitting the motion from the control ring to the venes should be made equal. It became possible to achieve the correct adjustment of tension in the assembled apparatus basing on measurements of axial forces exerted on vane lever pivots by connecting links.
The paper deals with the technique of measurements , analysis of results and the method of adjustment of the guide apparatus during the assembly, eliminating pulsation of hydraulic forces caused by asynchronous vane opening and ensuring good dynamic state of hydroelectric generating set.
