Abstract
Basing on model of one-dimensional flow, the influence of prerotation on conditions of liquid flow in high-speed pump impellers is determined. The effect of prerotation influence on pump operation predicted in this way have been compared with the results of experimental tests concerning free and forced liquid prerotation. Influence of prerotation, generated in different ways, on energy-related, cavitation and vibroacoustic pump properties is characterized. The so-called prerotation by-pass jet device is presented, which impoves operating conditions of pump controlled through forced prerotation.
