Waterhammer Control in the Delivery Conduit of a Pump

Abstract

Reported in the paper is an experimentally checked algorithm allowing to control the waterhammer development by operating the valve installed in the pumping system. The possibility is indicated of application of the algorithm mentioned for control of operation of hydraulic machines in systems with long pipelines in transient conditions.
