On an effective algorithm for solving non-linear equations and their systems
Abstract
A new algorithm for solving a single non-linear equation is proposed in this paper. The algorithm constitutes a combination of three elementary algorithms based on the regula falsi method, the half-interval method, and the method of secants, The combined algorithm is globally convergent provided that bounds of the root are known. Generalisation of the algoritłrm on a system of non-linear equations is also proposed.
