Limiting trajectories of dust particles approaching a charged splrerical collector
Abstract
A numerical model for determining the trajectories of the charged dust particles in the vicinity of the oppositely charged droplet (spherical collector) falling freely down is presented. The limiting collision trajectories of the dust particles and the precipitation space are determined theoretically. The model can be applied in the designing of the charged droplet scrubbers to determine their collection efficiency.
