The Department of Planning includes development and planning in a broad sense, and it reaches from the social science aspects of development (technological, environmental) to physical planning, e.g. waste management and to technical subjects such establishment of waste management schemes, surveying and mapping. The AAU team is from the Sustainability, Innovation and Policy Research Group (RG) with focus is the development of sustainability through innovative and applied research. AAU has 20 years of experience within clean tech and on eco-innovations within different business areas such as circular economy and waste management and resource efficient products/processes from a value chain perspective. AAU is also researching clean tech from local and regional perspectives.
