The Administration of Tauragė District Municipality

Also it is planned to involve employees of the Tauragė Region Waste Management Center in the project activities. All municipalities in Lithuania are partly responsible for the management of Waste Management system in the country. Taurage District Municipality is the bigest stockholder of the Tauragė waste management center, so the most important interest for municipality is to improve the recycling effectiveness and the circular functionality of the existing MSWM system and to exchange experience inthis field with other South Baltic region countries. Existing system is not not efficient and doesnot satisfy the needs of the population and stakeholders. It also does not ensure a full and effective waste recycling cycle, and it is why the municipality has an interest in participating in the development and inprovement of this system.
